2019 Jr. State Championship June 9 Lake Ponemah

The 2019 TBF of Michigan Jr. State Championship is Sunday, June 9, Lake Ponemah. Junior angler teams need to provide their own boat/adult boater! Please see below for 2019 tournament rules, entry form and liability waiver. Entry deadline Monday, June 3rd, 2019.

Boats must be equipped with proper engine shutoff switch (kill switch) and should be 16 feet minimum with adequate live well space.

Youth angler teams need to be 11-15 years of age as of August 31, 2019. Annual youth membership is $50 (per team – 2 anglers) – you must be youth/Jr. TBF member to fish this event.

Entry fee for this Jr. State Championship is $30 per TEAM. Youth anglers will fish as a 2-person team in their own provided boat with an adult team captain. Creel limit is 5 bass per team, 14 inch minimum size limit.

Go to https://www.michiganbassfederation.com/youth/pay-jr-membership/ to pay your 2019 Jr. team membership and Jr. State Championship team entry together online directly to TBF of Michigan using a major credit card and/or PayPal. If you are unable to use this method to pay Jr. dues and entry please contact youth@michiganbassfederation.com to discuss options.

Launch ramp and Registration at Lake Ponemah Public Access Site boat launch. Check-in (registration) will be from 6:00am until 6:30am. Tournament meeting and rules briefing to follow registration. Boats can be launched after being check.

Tournament Hours:

  • Blast off 7:00am
  • Fishing 7:00am – 1:00pm
  • Check-in 1:00pm
